You Never Know What Will Happen in the Farmyard-chicken gets stuck!

Oh dear, CooKoo the 7 year old Cuckoo Marans managed to get her foot very stuck in a piece of decorative fencing. The piece of fencing was still in the ground so she was stuck, thank goodness I spotted her and pulled the piece of fence out of the grouns then carried Cookoo to the house! I quickly realized that I couldn't hold CooKoo and get her foot free at the same time so called into the house. Tristan to the rescue and then we still couldn't get her foot free, she'd kind of gotten her foot and leg stuck in two of the curly bits of the fence and her foot couldn't be maneuvered back out. I calmed CooKoo while Tristan searched for some tools. With some pliers and wire cutters we were able to free her. Cookoo was absolutely fine after having her foot freed and ran off to get back to whatever she was doing when she got stuck.  I've now removed the decorative fencing, I mean this has never happened before and this fencing has been around for awhile but I guess now we know it could happen we don't want it to happen again!

CooKoo is stuck!

Her foot went in one of the curly bits and back out another it took awhile to free her!

CooKoo is fine now
