A warm up, the sun is out! Coop cleaning, more paths for the birds and yes still broody silkies.

We had a warm up today, it was above freezing by the time I opened up the chicken and duck house. Temperatures were in the 40's by early afternoon. A good day to do some coop cleaning. That makes the birds pretty happy, no they're not all that bothered about a newly clean coop, they love the paths I make them on top of the snow with the old shavings.

And the birds go round and round....

In addition to work outdoors I got the rest of the big meal for a crowd made and delivered to friends. Then back home to heat up our own part of the meal for a crowd. Not much else today, homeschooling, thinking about spring chicks and gardens and all the work spring will bring. But it will be nice to be outdoors...and warm.

And yes, still a silkie sits and broods!
